Find the words to….

…TALK ABOUT YOUR ARTISTIC PRACTICE

In this capsule, we hit straight for the core of your artistic practice. By having an in depth conversation, not only are we able to distil the ingredients for creating a concise artist statement, it will also help you view your work from a different angle and open new pathways for you to discover.

By speaking to an independent and unbiased outsider that dares to ask the difficult questions, we unveil the deeper layers of meaning present in your work already, that maybe you have not able to make explicit or haven't found the right words for.

Starting with a 1- hour online conversation in which I will invite you to freely meander with me about your practice, we will lay the base for the agreed outcome. This could have the shape of a statement for you to use on your site and in applications, or can also mean a monthly meeting to investigate a certain aspect of your practice further.

Please get in touch with me to see how I can be of support in finding the words to talk about what moves you forward as an artist.

You will have a clear idea about the costs before we start, and my fees are tax-deductible.

  • In 2020, Sana responded to a call for studio manager at my artistic studio. The tasks were very specific, as I had recently secured a couple of contracts for public art commissions. I needed someone insightful, a polyglot, interdisciplinary, visionary, and most importantly, capable of following my lead and also being able to conduct herself as a leader. Sana created an environment that met my needs; we met online several times a week with care, humor, and great efficiency. She quickly grasped what was required, asked insightful questions anticipating future challenges, and adeptly communicated with fabricators and production managers. We developed a wonderful relationship, and I am immensely grateful for what she brought to my practice. Her vast set of skills never ceases to amaze me, and I made sure to leverage her experience for the benefit of my projects. Thank you, Sana. I am also deeply impressed by your capacity for creation, both for others and yourself.

  • Sana's fresh and contemporary approach really helped me last year when I was looking to apply for art residencies. She responded quickly to my particular requirements and enabled me to look objectively at my own writing, freshen up my CV, and put together a clear proposal - all of which led to my receiving the residency I wanted. Thank you Sana for your advice, efficiency and especially your ability to connect with individual needs.

  • I really appreciated how Sana worked with me to format my artist statement. I found her through a fellow artist who had successfully gained a residency placement with her help. Sana was very quick to respond, and understood exactly what I needed. She very simply broke down the process, and found the questions that helped me explain the art, my practice and background, and how it all intertwines together. Will definitely go to her for help again! Thank you Sana.

  • Sana was brought to my attention by a collegue. Sana is multilingual and experienced internationally, understanding the European and (North-)American art market/world, which makes her the right fit for my art practice. As a studio manager she provides structure, focus, feed back in our weekly meetings. She spots appropriate open calls that fit my projects, takes a handful of my notes and ideas and turns them into statements, project proposals and helps me shape my thoughts. She is fast, intelligent, reliable and highly competent. It’s a pleasure to exchange thoughts with Sana. I love working with her.
